Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Animal Science, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of commercial experience within pet food, animal nutrition, rendering, or food ingredients industries.
- At least 3 years of sales leadership and people management experience.
- Proven track record of delivering sustained sales growth and managing strategic relationships.
- Strong knowledge of the pet food industry market dynamics and trends.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and pricing strategy development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout North America, up to 75% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales and gross margin performance across North America, ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and new business growth objectives.
- Develop and execute regional commercial strategies aligned with broader organizational goals.
- Strengthen customer relationships through consultative selling and strategic account management.
- Manage contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and commercial agreements.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and develop Sales Managers and Technical Sales Managers.
- Build organizational capabilities in commercial excellence and account planning.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, R&D, technical services, and operations teams.
- Manage distributor relationships and support strategic account initiatives.
- Establish performance metrics and oversee regional sales budgets.
