Experience: 5+ years hospice experience; 3+ years compliance/audit experience

Requirements

RN license required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years hospice experience
3+ years compliance/audit experience
Proficiency in Medicare hospice regulations
Knowledge of clinical documentation standards for eligibility and recertification

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-bill clinical chart audits to ensure compliance with Medicare hospice regulations
Validate documentation supporting terminal prognosis, eligibility, and level of care
Monitor compliance risks and escalate prior to claim submission
Provide education and guidance to Intake teams on eligibility and documentation standards
Perform focused pre-bill audits for external audit preparation and response
Conduct Long Length of Stay (LLOS) and General Inpatient (GIP) level of care reviews
Track audit outcomes and communicate findings to leadership
Develop education materials and partner with clinical leadership to improve documentation
