Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- At least 2 years focused on data engineering, data platforms, or infrastructure for data-centric applications.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with production experience in PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with data streaming and event processing (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pulsar, or Amazon Kinesis).
- Proficiency in a data-oriented programming language such as Julia, Python, or R.
- Experience deploying and operating services in containerized environments (Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Helm.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for asynchronous environments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers and internal stakeholders to design new integrations, services, and solutions for scaling data platform.
- Implement features with high standards for data integrity, design soundness, and maintainability.
- Draft RFCs to lead complex feature discovery and technical design phases.
- Leverage feedback from internal stakeholders and external partners to improve operational robustness.
- Develop documentation, tools, and dashboards for the Datastore and its services.
