Requirements
- Deep experience with distributed systems, including handling concurrency, idempotency, and partial failures.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Python 3.
- Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQLAlchemy) and event streaming (Kafka).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and workflow orchestration (Temporal).
- Track record of shipping high-impact, ambiguous technical projects.
- Ability to mentor senior engineers and foster collaborative design culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or high aptitude for navigating complex regulated domains (payments, healthcare).
- Demonstrated interest in utilizing AI tools for developer productivity and automation.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering leadership to set technical direction for Payment and Clearinghouse platforms.
- Design fault-tolerant, observable, and reconciled integrations with third-party financial services.
- Build platform abstractions and standards to enable adjacent engineering teams to ship safely.
- Write high-leverage code and contribute to core infrastructure.
- Mentor senior engineers across multiple pods.
- Shape operational excellence, including monitoring, scalability, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate across teams to solve complex revenue and payment processing challenges.
