Requirements
- 8+ years of legal experience, including meaningful in-house experience at a technology, SaaS, data, or high-growth B2B company.
- Strong experience in commercial contracting and tech transactions, with ability to lead complex negotiations.
- Breadth across legal issues including privacy, product counseling, corporate governance, employment, or disputes.
- Ability to operate as a senior resource and individual contributor with sound judgment.
- Excellent legal communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues.
- Practical fluency with AI and legal technology and experience building AI-powered workflows.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex commercial negotiations including enterprise MSAs, license agreements, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage inbound data provider agreements and associated IP/licensing issues.
- Collaborate with GTM, Deal Desk, and Product teams on deal structuring and risk guidance.
- Advise on privacy and data protection, including privacy-by-design for the analytics platform.
- Provide guidance on AI governance and product-related legal risks.
- Lead legal workstreams including corporate governance, employment, and HR matters.
- Manage outside counsel and improve legal playbooks and templates.
- Develop and use AI tools and legal technology to scale and automate legal workflows.
