Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales in the energy industry
- Experience working at a utility, DERM, VPP platform, or demand response company
- Familiarity with wholesale electricity markets
- Familiarity with demand response programs
- Experience with utility procurement processes including RFPs and RFIs
- Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles
- Ability to operate in ambiguity
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with Google Suite, Salesforce, and Slack
Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with utility stakeholders
- Identify and pursue opportunities for demand response and battery deployment
- Respond to utility RFIs and RFPs
- Strategically work through ecosystem partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally to pitch and execute program delivery
- Manage the full sales cycle
- Attend industry conferences and in-person meetings
- Share market learnings internally to refine offerings
