Requirements
- 4+ years of professional electrical engineering design experience in the construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- EIT certification preferred; PE license a plus.
- Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, or medical buildings.
- Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
- Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, large scale standby and emergency power systems, and interactive generator control systems.
- Experience producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
- Experience with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.
Responsibilities
- Designing electrical systems and performing design calculations.
- Review, signing and sealing of projects.
- Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Preparation of record drawings.
- Perform site visits, inspections and participate in commissioning work.
- Writing and editing of electrical equipment specifications.
- Selecting equipment, electrical systems and devices.
- Ensure projects are completed accurately, within deadlines and on budget.
