  • 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Prior public accounting experience required, with Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in ASC 606 and revenue recognition for SaaS and consumption-based business models.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with ERP, billing, and revenue systems such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations and revenue automation initiatives is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency; SQL experience is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end revenue accounting function, including order approvals, invoicing oversight, revenue memos, reconciliations, and audit support across all revenue streams.
  • Ensure full compliance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP, including subscription, consumption-based, and hybrid revenue models.
  • Own revenue accounting policies globally, ensuring they are continuously updated, enforced, and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy in ledger entries, deferred revenue, disclosures, and reporting packages.
  • Act as primary liaison with external auditors for revenue-related audits, including deferred revenue and SSP analyses.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, and Sales Operations to evaluate contract structures and revenue impact prior to deal finalization.
  • Oversee revenue reporting, variance analysis, executive dashboards, and board-level financial presentations.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and implementation of revenue systems and tools to improve scalability and efficiency.
  • Design and maintain strong SOX-compliant internal controls over order-to-cash and revenue recognition processes.
  • Manage sales commission review, calculation, and amortization processes, ensuring alignment with ASC 340-40 and contract lifecycles.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop revenue accounting team members to ensure strong performance and alignment with business objectives.
