Requirements
- Extensive software development experience with deep Java backend expertise.
- System design experience with high-load, event-driven architectures.
- Experience with cloud-native infrastructure.
- Proven record leading engineering teams and delivering complex production systems.
- Experience operating production systems and incident response.
- Strong product sense to assess initiatives and identify risks.
- Strong delivery ownership and ability to provide realistic estimates.
- Experience in iGaming or high-load real-time platforms (preferred).
- Experience transitioning from a senior IC role into leadership (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Own delivery outcomes to ensure cross-functional teams meet commitments.
- Manage and develop people, handle performance reviews and career progression.
- Maintain engineering standards and architectural patterns.
- Coordinate with Team Leads and Product Managers for effective execution.
- Continuously improve team planning, coordination, and delivery processes.
- Support system reliability by leading incident investigations and root cause analysis.
