Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, consulting, or managed services.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR.
- Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL).
- Understanding of SOAR and automation concepts.
- Knowledge of identity and endpoint security (Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint).
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in Microsoft Cloud Security.
- Must hold or obtain within 6 months: AZ-900, SC-300, AZ-500, and CISSP.
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel within upstate NY and occasionally out of state.
Responsibilities
- Lead security strategy development and roadmap planning aligned to business priorities.
- Produce and deliver executive security reporting.
- Perform security assessments and vulnerability management.
- Own solution implementation and program onboarding.
- Implement and manage SIEM/XDR architecture including configuration and tuning.
- Provide guidance and escalation support for Security Specialists.
- Support presales meetings and security program cost modeling.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies.
- Improve programs through automation and security engineering.
