Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data management, or analytics, ideally within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong experience with enterprise-scale data initiatives, particularly in Clinical Development, R&D, or related domains.
- Solid understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakehouse, data mesh, and medallion frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and tools such as Databricks.
- Familiarity with Master Data Management (e.g., Reltio), data governance/catalog tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra), and data quality frameworks.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling techniques, including metadata, lineage, and reference data concepts.
- Understanding of GxP and regulatory requirements in a life sciences context.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Support the scaling of the Enterprise Information Architecture capability by partnering with senior leadership to define, refine, and operationalize architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Contribute to the definition and maintenance of enterprise data domains, subdomains, and canonical data models aligned with business and R&D needs.
- Provide architectural guidance for key enterprise data programs, ensuring delivery of scalable, reusable, and governed data products.
- Translate business requirements into robust data solutions, supporting analytics, operational reporting, and advanced use cases.
- Promote consistent use of modern architecture patterns, including medallion data layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold), semantic layers, and standardized integration approaches.
- Support data modeling activities and enforce enterprise data modeling standards across teams and domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between architecture principles, governance requirements, and execution delivery.
