Requirements
- 12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed production systems.
- Strong backend engineering experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Pyramid, or Django).
- Experience leading technical design for complex systems.
- Experience with relational/NoSQL databases, schema design, and performance tuning.
- Experience building and operating cloud-native systems (AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, and operational excellence.
- Ability to work through ambiguity and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives independently.
- Demonstrated ability to raise engineering quality through design reviews and mentoring.
- Passion for improving developer experience through automation and workflows.
Responsibilities
- Operate as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for high-impact initiatives.
- Partner with Product Management to clarify requirements and scope.
- Drive architectural design, task breakdown, and execution planning.
- Establish reusable patterns, technical standards, and platform primitives.
- Improve engineering efficiency through tooling, automation, and observability.
- Mentor engineers and raise the quality of technical decision-making.
- Drive adoption of AI tooling across the SDLC.
