Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of U.S./Canada leave, benefits, and employment laws.
  • Proven ability to lead high-risk, sensitive leave and accommodation cases.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems like ADP or Workday.
  • Experience with leave management platforms such as Unum.
  • Experience with case management tools such as Asana.
  • Strong communication skills for empathetic employee support.
  • Ability to build, scale, and improve compliant programs and policies.
  • Effective cross-functional partnership and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end administration of U.S. and Canada benefits and leave programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulations.
  • Lead complex leave and accommodation cases including FMLA, ADA, and Canadian equivalents.
  • Manage claims administration and vendor coordination for worker's compensation.
  • Coordinate immigration processes including work permits and LMIA applications.
  • Develop and improve policies, SOPs, and documentation.
  • Build and enhance a centralized intranet framework for benefits and wellness.
  • Implement scalable workflows and self-service tools for a distributed workforce.
