Requirements
- Ph.D. in Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Computer Science or M.S. with equivalent depth
- 8+ years industry experience (PhD) or 12+ years (M.S.) in applied science or data science
- Deep expertise in causal inference including network interference/spillovers
- Strong theoretical grounding in experimental design (power analysis, variance reduction)
- Experience with experimentation platforms at scale
- Expert knowledge of SQL
- Proficiency in R and/or Python for statistical computing
- Track record of designing and analyzing experiments at scale
- Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical authority on experimentation methodology across Consumer
- Tackle the hardest experimentation problems including spillover and network effects
- Develop and advance methods for causal inference
- Design experimentation frameworks and guardrail metrics
- Identify opportunities where improved experimentation methodology can unlock product insights
- Build and scale self-serve experimentation tools and best-practice documentation
- Influence long-term product strategy
- Mentor and elevate other data scientists on experimentation best practices
