Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on month-end close involvement.
- Experience working in a team-based or shared services accounting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accrual basis accounting, including payroll-related entries.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or other cloud-based systems like NetSuite or Intacct.
- Willingness to support hands-on AP/AR and transactional work.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with non-financial stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Record financial transactions in accounting systems for multiple client companies.
- Post customer payments and maintain accounts receivable aging reports.
- Record vendor invoices, code expenses, obtain payment authorization, and schedule payments.
- Reconcile bank records and cash accounts to the general ledger.
- Process online payroll and record transactions.
- Prepare and reconcile fixed assets and review capitalization adjustments.
- Review trial balance pre-close and post-close to identify anomalies for analysis.
