Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of technology services sales experience selling into State and Local government agencies.
  • Strong technical literacy in cloud adoption lifecycles, data architecture, and analytics.
  • Deep SLED expertise, including government procurement processes and agency-specific needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish credibility with IT leadership and business decision-makers.
  • Willingness to travel within the region for client engagements.
  • Experience with California procurement vehicles and agencies preferred.
  • Background in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment (GSI or boutique consulting).
  • Proficiency using Google Cloud tools for forecasting and financial-based selling.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales lifecycle end-to-end from opportunity qualification to closing complex deals within California State, Local, and HigherEd accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans with full P&L responsibility.
  • Deliver against individual and team bookings/revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain multi-level C-suite, VP, and Director relationships across California agencies.
  • Collaborate with Google Cloud and other platform teams on go-to-market plays and co-selling opportunities.
  • Partner with delivery teams to scope projects and draft Statements of Work.
  • Collaborate with marketing on regional campaigns and develop client success stories.
