Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred)
- 2+ years’ experience in healthcare billing, patient accounts, insurance claims, or revenue cycle management
- Proficiency with EHR/CRM systems and payment processing platforms
- Strong Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills
- Understanding of HIPAA, PCI compliance, and insurance terminology (EOBs, CTP Codes, Diagnosis Codes, Deductibles, Co-Pays)
- Experience in a telehealth, multi-state, or large outpatient provider environment
- Familiarity with revenue cycle improvement initiatives or patient financial counseling
- Bi-Lingual Communication Skills (English/ Spanish) - highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Respond to patient inquiries related to billing, insurance claims, payments, and statements via phone, email, and chat
- Assist patients in understanding charges, EOBs, coverage, deductibles, co-pays, and payment plans
- Collect and process patient payments accurately and securely
- Collaborate with insurance verification and revenue cycle teams to resolve denied or delayed claims
- Educate patients on financial policies, insurance processes, and available support options
- Document all interactions in CRM/EHR systems with precision and compliance (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
- Identify patterns in billing issues and suggest process improvements to reduce patient friction
