Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep experience with Ruby on Rails, Javascript, Typescript, and React.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as React Testing Library and RSpec.
- Experience working with complex architectures and Service Oriented Architecture.
- Experience self-organizing and managing own work.
- Pragmatic decision-making and ability to navigate tradeoffs.
- Strong sense of experimentation and hypothesis-driven development.
- Experience maintaining and refining design and implementation choices.
- Commitment to documentation.
- Strong sense of ownership and collaborative mindset.
Responsibilities
- Build components and service APIs, using various frameworks and architectures to thoughtfully integrate features.
- Collaborate with teammates to identify requirements, solve technical challenges, design effective solutions, and troubleshoot production issues.
- Apply design patterns to support quality decisions and maintain standards through code reviews, tools, testing strategies, and metrics.
- Make informed architectural decisions and support scalability.
- Support colleagues through code reviews and pair programming.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Champion innovative ideas and support others in engaging with new approaches.
- Leverage AI-powered IDEs like Copilot and Cursor for development, testing, and debugging.
- Support company engineering practices through outreach, recruitment, business development, and communities of practice.
