Requirements

2–3+ years of U.S. healthcare experience in billing, insurance verification, or referrals.
Native or professional bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
Knowledge of U.S. insurance structures and coordination of benefits.
Understanding of orthopedic billing workflows.
Experience with Modernizing Medicine (ModMed/EMA) EMR software (preferred).
Experience in Orthopaedics, Physical Therapy, or Sports Medicine clinics (preferred).
Secure home office infrastructure with high-speed internet and noise-canceling headset.

Responsibilities

Execute comprehensive insurance eligibility and benefit verifications.
Assist front-end departments with coverage troubleshooting.
Identify and document deductibles, copays, and co-insurance requirements.
Proactively track, request, and obtain insurance referrals.
Ensure imaging and specialist visits meet medical necessity guidelines.
Document authorization data within ModMed EMR.
Communicate complex insurance information to patients and staff in English and Spanish.
