Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in disaster response, emergency management, crisis operations, or humanitarian assistance.
- At least entry-level professional capability with GIS tools and geospatial concepts.
- Experience managing GIS workflows and familiarity with Esri platforms (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, etc.).
- Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Experience producing situational awareness products in support of operational decision-making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel at least 25% for planned conferences and EOC activations.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
Responsibilities
- Provide Situation Unit functional leadership to monitor domestic and global events.
- Fuse multiple information sources into actionable situational awareness products.
- Lead and develop a cadre of Greyshirt volunteers with GIS expertise.
- Apply professional GIS skills to evolve TR’s GIS capability and promote standardization.
- Provide mission planning expertise for domestic and OCONUS operations throughout the disaster cycle.
- Build working relationships across geographic branches to clarify roles and planning standards.
- Maintain and improve planning tools, templates, and procedures.
- Support QA/QC for operational data to improve accuracy and timeliness of internal and external reporting.
