Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited school (preferred).
- 5 years of domestic sourcing and exporting experience in the polymer industry (required).
- Proven experience in exporting US products to Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
- Sourcing experience at chemical distribution companies (preferred).
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for business.
- Ability to create new opportunities and convert sourcing strategies into results.
- Resourcefulness and persistence in prospecting clients and suppliers.
- Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Source polymers (PE, PP, PVC) by developing business plans covering procurement, revenue, and expense controls.
- Develop new suppliers to maximize sourcing volume and enhance business relationships.
- Maintain and report sourcing and procurement information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analyze and understand suppliers' end markets and procurement strategies.
- Coordinate with internal international counterparts to ensure efficiency.
- Increase company presence in the polymer business via industry conferences and meetings.
