Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
  • 3 years of successful teaching experience including experience as a virtual teacher.
  • Georgia Special Education certification.
  • Knowledge of state and charter school law and regulations.
  • Knowledge of the State Performance Standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and evaluate virtual academy teachers.
  • Develop and implement data-driven program designs.
  • Provide professional development to teaching staff.
  • Coordinate testing readiness and school compliance tasks.
  • Collaborate with administration and parents.
  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures.
  • Conduct data-driven conferences with teachers.
  • Maintain accurate records according to state requirements.
