Requirements
- Proven experience managing multiple engineering teams, including line-management of Technical Leads.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in software development.
- At least 3 years of experience leading teams.
- Strong technical leadership in SaaS and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with real-time, data-driven applications and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Expertise in architecture decision-making and CI/CD best practices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, GCP, AWS).
- Experience decomposing monolithic applications into microservices.
- Experience implementing AI tools in engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee architecture and infrastructure decisions for the Biosphere platforms with a focus on cloud-agnostic design.
- Uphold engineering best practices including code quality, CI/CD, testing, observability, and security.
- Optimize delivery processes using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
- Line-manage 3–4 Technical Leads, providing coaching and mentorship.
- Align engineering roadmaps with business goals and product direction.
- Champion company values and foster a remote-first, collaborative culture.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Customer Success to deliver features.
- Develop and implement career ladders for engineering roles.
