Requirements
- BS/BA degree required (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of relevant utility-scale project development experience.
- Deep understanding of U.S. utility-scale solar and energy storage markets.
- Familiarity with data center land development trends.
- Experience with site origination, land control, entitlements, and permitting.
- Experience with interconnection processes from application through LGIA.
- Knowledge of grid analysis and financial model impacts of development.
- Strong landowner negotiation and real estate documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Originate and evaluate data center land sites from inception to sale.
- Manage land acquisition strategies, including negotiations of options, leases, and purchase agreements.
- Advance entitlement and permitting pathways (rezoning, site plan approvals).
- Lead site-level due diligence including environmental, geotechnical, and infrastructure constraints.
- Coordinate with engineering, legal, finance, and commercial teams.
- Manage project budgets and vendor teams through SAP.
- Interface with utilities and ISOs/RTOs regarding transmission and interconnection.
- Compile development inputs for investment memoranda and leadership updates.
