Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a demonstrated high level of academic success
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, industry accounting, or similar role
- Proficient knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and internally developed software accounting
- Intermediate level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls
- Highly skilled in using Microsoft Excel
- Organized, productive and detail oriented
- Ability to meet designated deadlines and manage multiple projects to completion
- Able to function independently in a fast-paced environment
- Big Four public accounting experience strongly desired
- CPA strongly desired
- Experience with NetSuite, plus
- Experience with multinational reporting and consolidation accounting, plus
Responsibilities
- Calculate and record journal entries to the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Drive the month-end close cycle, including preparing and reviewing account reconciliations
- Support the annual financial statement audit process
- Partner with the Cohere India finance team to record intercompany and consolidation entries
- Perform and document technical accounting analysis, including ASC 606 analysis
- Support customer billing and invoice generation
- Drive process improvement, system implementations, and technology adoption
- Support cash flow management and working capital analysis
- Support finance operational areas, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and travel & expense management
