Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or 4 years related experience.
- 2-4 years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience.
- Experience with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and close processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas, macros, SUMIF).
- Experience working with large datasets and data management.
- Ability to manage reports and dashboards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience with nonprofit accounting or healthcare preferred.
- Experience with multi-entity environments preferred.
- Experience with MIP Fund Accounting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly variance analysis and provide supportable explanations for leadership.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the Financial Analyst.
- Prepare recurring departmental and operational financial reports.
- Organize, maintain, and analyze financial datasets.
- Maintain and update reporting tools, templates, and analytical workbooks.
- Support dashboard maintenance, including Power BI or similar systems.
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
- Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Support monthly and annual close processes.
- Assist with preparation and validation of financial reporting packages.
