Requirements

- Technical background in complex data systems and the ML lifecycle (training, inference, deployment, monitoring).
- Understanding of ML research papers, industry trends, and architectures.
- Problem-solving skills for technical constraints like GPU scheduling and latency budgets.
- Strong communication skills for business and engineering stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or Backend Software Engineer.
- Preferred: Knowledge of Ad Tech ecosystem (bidding, ranking, targeting).
- Preferred: Experience with Generative AI/LLM workflows (Agentic automation, fine-tuning, RAG).
Responsibilities
- Shape the long-term strategy and roadmap for Reddit’s Ads ML platform.
- Adopt cutting-edge technologies including Generative AI and LLM workflows.
- Build tools to reduce friction for ML engineers and data scientists.
- Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Ads Product teams.
- Own KPIs for platform reliability, latency, cost-efficiency, and productivity.
- Conduct user research to identify and address developer pain points.
- Translate technical constraints into precise product requirements.
