Requirements
- Senior operations leadership experience in media, publishing, policy, research, digital content, or mission-led information businesses.
- Experience overseeing finance, people operations, systems, technology, and organizational operations.
- Strong commercial, financial, and operational judgment.
- Ability to bring structure to creative, editorial, or knowledge-based environments.
- Experience working closely with CEOs, boards, or executive leadership teams.
- Comfort leading remote teams and managing distributed operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day business operations across finance, people operations, technology, administration, systems, and organizational infrastructure.
- Translate strategic priorities into operating plans, budgets, processes, and measurable outcomes.
- Support growth across publishing, audience development, partnerships, events, and digital products.
- Improve internal workflows, reporting, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Oversee vendor relationships, compliance, operational risk, and business continuity.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on long-range planning, board reporting, and organizational performance.
- Build scalable processes while preserving the agility and creativity of a media environment.
