Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant financial reporting experience.
- Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
- CPA or similar professional designation required.
- 4+ years of people management experience.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and SOX 404.
- Proven experience leading SEC filing preparation and managing quarter-end close processes at a public company.
- Strong project management skills.
- Proficiency with Workiva required.
- Experience with NetSuite and SOX compliance is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and use AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, as well as investor communications.
- Own GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists and tie-out binders in compliance with SOX controls.
- Oversee the preparation of internal financial reporting packages, trend analyses, and board reporting.
- Manage month-end close for technical accounting areas and review direct reports' deliverables.
- Write technical accounting memorandums and provide guidance on U.S. GAAP matters.
- Maintain internal control documentation and support SOX compliance efforts.
- Act as primary contact with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Accounting, Tax, and Investor Relations.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of four.
