Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of experience at a growing business (preferably agency or SaaS).
- Expertise with Xero (bookkeeping, reporting, and integrations).
- Proven experience with cost accounting or job-order costing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a remote setup.
- Knowledge of U.S. accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting operations in Xero, including general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Produce weekly reports on margins, labor efficiency, AR, and expenses.
- Implement and maintain cost-per-project accounting.
- Perform subscription and system audits to eliminate waste.
- Oversee client invoicing and reduce AR over 30 days.
- Prepare and process payroll for employees and contractors.
- Support tax filings and compliance in coordination with external CPA.
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and budget planning.
