Requirements

  • Ph.D. in survey methodology, economics, psychology, sociology, statistics, computer science, public policy, public health, or other social science related fields.
  • 8 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of survey methodology and survey operations (e.g., questionnaire design, cognitive interviews, weighting, non-response bias).
  • Experience with clinical quality measure development.
  • Experience with statistical software packages such as Stata, SAS, WPS, R, Python.
  • Proficient understanding of basic descriptive and inferential statistics.
  • Experience leading projects.
  • Experience leading, developing, and writing proposals for federal agencies.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate sampling frames and select samples based on complex designs.
  • Construct weights for studies with complex designs.
  • Assess potential to supplement survey data with administrative data.
  • Conduct technical reviews of data collection and processing plans.
  • Author technical reports and communicate findings to policy audiences.
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency of work products.
  • Supervise and mentor research staff.
  • Lead and contribute to proposal development.
