Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR operations experience.
  • Strong experience managing multi-state payroll for 600+ employees.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Rippling strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of wage and hour laws and payroll compliance.
  • Knowledge of benefits regulations (ACA, COBRA, FMLA).
  • Experience in retail or service-based organizations preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end multi-state payroll processing for 600+ exempt and non-exempt employees.
  • Serve as primary administrator for Rippling HRIS, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
  • Oversee administration of health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, ACA, COBRA, and FMLA.
  • Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliation, audits, and labor cost reporting.
  • Manage and respond to unemployment claims, EEO-1 reporting, and multi-worksite reporting.
  • Develop and improve HR operational processes and workflow automation.
  • Partner with field leadership to support HR and payroll needs.
