Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in technical editing for web channels or publishing.
- Degree in English, Technical Writing, Publishing, or a related field.
- Excellent copyediting and proofreading skills with strong command of American English.
- Strong research skills and interest in software development and emerging technologies.
- Ability to evaluate structure, clarity, accuracy, and tone of technical content.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with software professionals.
- Excellent organization and time management to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Reliability in working independently and meeting high-stakes deadlines.
- Working laptop/pc, internet, and back-up connection.
Responsibilities
- Select, copyedit, and prepare technical site content for publication on DZone.
- Research trends in the SDLC to support article planning and content strategies.
- Update site pages daily and ensure content is timely and relevant.
- Monitor support and editor inboxes and handle inquiries.
- Build and maintain relationships with contributors, authors, and community members.
- Recommend and recruit contributors for commercial content opportunities.
- Manage contributor-driven projects, including onboarding, briefs, and editorial feedback.
- Maintain project documentation and track status in appropriate systems.
- Coordinate project closeout and contributor offboarding.
