Requirements
- 5+ years of financial management/pricing and legal project management experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or ALSP environment
- Deep expertise in legal matter budgeting, AFAs, outside counsel guideline compliance, and/or legal financial reporting
- Exceptional communication skills
- Excellent proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and use of CoPilot or similar AI tools
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-jurisdictional legal budgets (preferred)
- Experience in a dedicated client service or embedded legal ops roles (preferred)
- Exposure to cross-border regulatory, M&A, or commercial matters (preferred)
- Working knowledge of legal AI platforms such as Harvey, Legora, or comparable tools (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead annual budget planning and monitoring for complex, value‑based fee arrangements
- Act as primary financial partner to Partners and client stakeholders on budget planning, spend optimization, and fee arrangements
- Develop, manage, and report on multi‑jurisdictional matter budgets
- Manage the end‑to‑end project lifecycle for large, cross‑border client programs across 50+ countries
- Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams across time zones and workstreams
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, scheduling conflicts, and resourcing gaps
- Support client relationship management through regular reporting and governance meetings
- Prepare communications and presentations for firm and client leadership
- Identify, implement, and embed AI‑powered and legal technology tools to improve efficiency and matter management
