Requirements
- Pricing experience in UK Home insurance or similar general insurance products.
- Highly analytical with hands-on experience in data analysis.
- Experience running pricing experiments such as elasticity testing.
- Proficiency in utilizing conversion, loss ratio, and risk data for decision-making.
- Underwriting knowledge sufficient to challenge insurer proposals and assumptions.
- Solid grounding in SQL.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Python, Jupyter, or Looker.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day pricing performance and market positioning.
- Analyze pricing, conversion, claims, and loss ratio data to identify growth and profitability opportunities.
- Design and support pricing experiments like elasticity testing.
- Refine pricing segments, rating factors, and tiering.
- Collaborate with insurance partners to evaluate pricing proposals and assumptions.
- Monitor price competitiveness on price comparison websites (PCWs).
- Develop internal pricing frameworks, datasets, and operational processes.
