Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Energy Economics, Operations Research, or related.
- 5–7 years of experience in energy markets.
- Strong understanding of energy economics, market fundamentals, and energy systems operation.
- Knowledge of electricity markets, power trading, or electrical systems planning & operations.
- Experience in energy market supply and demand modelling using optimisation/unit commitment tools.
- Proficiency with PLEXOS, BID3, Antares, SDDP, or PROMOD.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering workshops with customers.
- Design innovative modelling approaches using PLEXOS software.
- Provide guidance on industry best practices and modelling.
- Perform model calibration against historical benchmarks.
- Develop test plans and resolve model issues.
- Provide training on PLEXOS modelling software.
- Create Proof of Concept studies to demonstrate solutions.
- Support sales meetings and deliver technical presentations.
- Respond to RFI/RFP technical documentation.
- Conduct research on EMEA energy market trends.
