Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in the title services industry.
- Knowledge of multi-state title insurance guidelines.
- Working knowledge of basic real estate title concepts.
- Working knowledge of legal documents affecting property title.
- Familiarity with title insurance commitment and policy formats.
- Proficiency in abstracting, title examinations, and survey analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel).
Responsibilities
- Perform examination of title to real property to determine status and chain of title.
- Review title search reports and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Resolve issues with missing, incomplete, or contradictory information.
- Abstract and analyze legal instruments including deeds, mortgages, easements, and judgments.
- Verify ownership and encumbrances of real property.
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and US state/federal laws.
