Requirements
- Customer service or call center experience.
- Healthcare billing, insurance, or claims experience preferred.
- Payment processing or financial transaction experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical proficiency with EMR systems and computer applications.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of healthcare billing and insurance concepts.
Responsibilities
- Process patient payments via phone in accordance with policies.
- Create and maintain payment plans.
- Verify, audit, and update insurance information.
- Explain claim notes, balances, and billing outcomes to patients.
- Educate patients on billing concepts like deductibles and claim denials.
- Research account history to resolve billing concerns.
- Navigate multiple EMR systems simultaneously.
- Maintain HIPAA confidentiality standards.
