Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Proven sales or marketing skills.
- Proficiency with database, CRM, word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
- Excellent telephone interaction skills.
- Self-confidence and persuasive ability.
- Strong attention to detail and customer focus.
- Ability to travel by car or plane.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute annual sales plans for higher education textbook territories.
- Analyze marketing data to optimize outreach within a sales territory.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of company products and textbook adoptions.
- Research and contact potential customers using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
- Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing higher education customers.
- Provide product information and customer service assistance to institutions.
- Generate reports on campus visits, textbook feedback, and adoption information.
- Coordinate with marketing staff to create mass email campaigns.
- Cover sales manager responsibilities during travel or absences.
- Travel to campuses as needed (less than 10% travel).
