Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Communications, English, Life Science, Regulatory)
- Minimum 3 years of editing experience in medical communication, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency in American Medical Association (AMA) Style (11th edition)
- Familiarity with scientific search engines such as PubMed and Google Scholar
- Familiarity with Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) requirements and submission platforms like Veeva
- Mastery of English grammar
- Ability to prioritize deadline-sensitive projects
Responsibilities
- Copy edit projects for correct spelling, grammar, consistency, tone, and AMA style
- Perform fact checking and clean reads on unbranded claims and promotional materials
- Review client and medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) changes in context
- Prepare MLR submissions including tagging and linking in client systems
- Assume lead editing responsibilities on one or more accounts
- Represent department at internal kickoff and status meetings
- Adhere to editorial review processes and best practices
- Collaborate with account teams to identify efficiencies
