Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or newsletter operations
  • At least 1 year of experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Proven ability to develop and execute email growth strategies
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, Marketo, or Sailthru
  • Strong expertise in segmentation, automation workflows, behavioral targeting, and A/B testing
  • Experience analyzing campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics or Looker
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally with editorial, marketing, and advertising operations
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, CDPs, or audience data tools
  • Experience supporting newsletter monetization initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize the full email lifecycle strategy, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, reactivation, and win-back campaigns
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators across the email funnel
  • Design and execute segmentation strategies, behavioral targeting, automation workflows, and A/B testing frameworks
  • Partner with editorial and marketing teams to create integrated, cross-channel campaigns
  • Collaborate with AdOps teams to support newsletter sponsorships and advertising integrations
  • Analyze campaign performance using analytics tools
  • Present performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Mentor and support junior team members
