Requirements
- Certified Medical Interpreter (CMI) designation from NBCMI or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of professional OPI and VRI experience.
- Full fluency in English and native language.
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Must reside in the United States.
- Two references confirming professional experience.
- Pass a criminal history background check.
- Complete data security and personal information protection training.
Responsibilities
- Provide OPI and VRI interpreting services to clients.
- Deliver correct concepts and meanings between speaker and LEP speaker.
- Maintain high levels of grammar, clarity, and tone in both languages.
- Manage conversation flow and interject for clarification when necessary.
- Maintain professional demeanor and refrain from side conversations.
- Adhere to data security protocols and protection of personal information.
- Comply with applicable professional ethics and standards.
