Requirements

  • Solid working knowledge of WordPress core functionality and common plugins.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting WordPress sites.
  • Background in client services, account management, or technical support.
  • Experience managing relationships and solving problems directly with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, priorities, and dependencies.
  • Comfort with technical troubleshooting, investigating root causes, and finding creative solutions.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage publisher migrations from alignment through launch, owning timelines and coordinating stakeholders.
  • Proactively navigate obstacles and make strategic decisions about scope and priorities.
  • Build relationships by understanding publisher business goals and operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot technical and editor-facing issues as they arise.
  • Help publishers leverage and optimize Newspack features.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of Newspack and WordPress to provide guidance to publishers.
  • Identify product improvement opportunities, surface bugs, and collaborate with engineering.
  • Develop and refine project management and communication systems.
  • Document solutions and identify patterns to inform process improvements.
