Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in employee benefits account management.
  • Significant experience supporting large-group or enterprise clients (3,000+ lives).
  • Deep understanding of employee benefits, including fully insured and alternative funding arrangements.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively within a highly matrixed team structure.
  • Strong executive presence with ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Proven experience supporting self-funded and complex benefit structures.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating cross-functional service teams.
  • Active Life & Health License.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior operational lead on complex client accounts, partnering closely with internal teams to execute strategy.
  • Own and elevate the client experience, ensuring alignment between strategic intent and service delivery.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders with high executive presence.
  • Lead execution of complex renewal cycles, coordinating across carriers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage day-to-day service delivery across a multi-disciplinary team, including Account Managers and consultants.
  • Drive accountability by managing timelines, deliverables, and quality standards.
  • Navigate and support complex funding arrangements like self-funded, level-funded, and captives.
  • Identify, anticipate, and proactively resolve service risks and gaps.
  • Lead resolution of complex service issues and escalations.
  • Mentor and elevate junior team members.
