- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, law, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial crime risk management.
- Strong background in cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies.
- At least 2 years in a leadership/management capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of Gibraltar and UK financial crime and AML regulations.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing financial crime risk programs.
- Experience conducting internal and external investigations.
- Ability to interact with law enforcement and regulatory authorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency exchanges, wallets, and blockchain technology.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the financial crime risk management framework.
- Translate 2nd line of defence policies into 1st line standard operating procedures.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of financial crime professionals.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Advise senior management on regulatory requirements and industry trends.
- Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, counterparties, and correspondent banks.
- Oversee the investigation of financial crime incidents across fiat and on-chain movements.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, risk, engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Provide regular reports and management information to senior leadership.
