Requirements
- 12+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience with at least 5+ years in field sales leadership, including leading leaders.
- Proven experience supporting and executing product launches, ideally in first-launch or emerging biotech environments.
- Strong track record of leading specialty sales teams and consistently achieving or exceeding commercial performance goals.
- Experience in cardiovascular, nephrology, hypertension, or related specialty therapeutic areas is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
- Strong business acumen with capabilities in planning, analytics, forecasting, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder influence skills with a collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 60%) across the assigned territory and nationally as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead national and regional launch execution strategies, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives across sales, market access, and customer engagement priorities.
- Translate national strategy into actionable field plans, driving consistent execution, performance tracking, and rapid course correction when needed.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a large field organization, including Regional Sales Directors and indirect field teams, while building strong leadership pipelines.
- Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and talent development initiatives to strengthen field effectiveness and accountability.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, medical affairs, training, operations, compliance, and market access to ensure full launch readiness and ongoing execution excellence.
- Oversee business operations including forecasting, reporting, CRM utilization, and area budget management while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Provide ongoing market insights, competitive intelligence, and field feedback to inform national commercial strategy and decision-making.
