Requirements

  • 10–12+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, or related healthcare commercial roles.
  • Strong background in account management, specialty pharmaceuticals, biologics, or market access environments.
  • Experience working with large provider organizations, GPOs, or institutional healthcare stakeholders.
  • Proven success in launching or supporting specialty products or complex healthcare solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of contracting, financial modeling, and performance measurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive-level stakeholders and manage complex customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively across sales, marketing, reimbursement, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel extensively (50–75%), including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow strategic ophthalmology accounts across the Mid-Atlantic region, representing the full product portfolio and contract ecosystem.
  • Lead customer engagement with executive stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, KOLs, and reimbursement decision-makers.
  • Drive contract education, adoption, and pull-through by clearly communicating program updates, value propositions, and performance metrics.
  • Develop and execute integrated account plans in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess performance, alignment, and opportunities for expansion.
  • Provide insights from the field on customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to internal leadership.
  • Support regional and national engagement strategies, including participation in industry and clinical events.
  • Ensure strong understanding of customer operations, including payer mix, inventory levels, reimbursement environment, and workflow challenges.
