Requirements
- Proven experience personally closing complex enterprise technology deals
- Experience building a sales motion from scratch in early-stage or high-growth environments
- Experience selling into Fortune 500 or equivalent organizations with multi-threaded deals and long sales cycles
- Experience standing up sales infrastructure including CRM systems, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Experience hiring and scaling commercial teams or readiness to do so
- Strong executive presence with ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong written communication skills including building decks and follow-up materials
- Ability to operate without an existing playbook, pipeline, or support team
- Comfortable with ambiguity, context switching, and managing multiple priorities
- Outcome-driven mindset focused on business and customer impact
- Experience using AI tools as leverage with sound judgment
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle across mid-market and enterprise accounts, including state government and Fortune 500 opportunities
- Close deals already in motion while independently driving opportunities forward
- Build the go-to-market motion from the ground up including ICP, messaging, discovery, deal stages, forecasting, and attribution
- Establish Salesforce as the source of truth and maintain pipeline hygiene
- Build and refine high-impact sales decks, messaging, and repeatable pitch tracks
- Conduct account research and manage follow-ups
- Translate customer needs into actionable insights for Product and Technology teams
- Bring market intelligence back into the business to inform strategy
- Define hiring plans and scale the commercial team as traction is proven
- Represent the company in customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows with expected travel of 15 to 25 percent
