Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience making data-driven game development decisions ideally in mobile free-to-play, through user research and experimentation
  • Demonstrable evidence of iterating and improving games based on feedback and performance data such as player retention, engagement and acquisition
  • A strong understanding of user-centered design principles
  • The ability to lead cross-functional planning and problem solving, particularly with engineering and design teams
  • Experience defining and tracking KPIs in gaming
  • Excellent communication, presentation and analytical skills
  • The ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English
  • Mobile free to play game hit (even better if)
  • Experience in achieving product market fit for emerging markets (even better if)
  • Degree or Masters in a Business, Product or Technology discipline (even better if)

Responsibilities

  • Full end-to-end ownership of a range of new games
  • Aligning game development goals and initiatives to company targets
  • Evaluating new game opportunities to ensure that what gets developed and delivered to our customers is the right product, and is both playable and desirable
  • Direct customer research and analysis initiatives to gain a deep understanding of customers needs, pain points, and behaviors
  • Growing and maintaining an understanding of our competitive landscape through regular research and analysis
  • Defining and communicating the game roadmap
  • Unite with programming, art and design teams, actively engaging them in understanding and contributing to the customer and business problems
  • Collaborating with development teams to translate game opportunities into clear, specific, and measurable requirements
  • Prioritise a game backlog for them to work from, and to maintain a strong understanding of the technology and development process
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Management, Tech Leads and Producers to effectively coordinate dependencies
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to develop comprehensive go-to-market plans and product positioning
  • Defining and tracking key metrics to measure product performance and success
  • Providing training and mentorship to new and current team members on your areas of expertise and responsibility
  • Participate in team ceremonies including Sprint planning, retrospectives and daily Scrum stand-ups
