Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in English or Communications or similar
- 8-10 years of experience in a scientific content editor role
- Experience in a medical communications agency or similar environment
- Experienced working with MS Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Organize editorial project teams to deliver research and competitive intelligence initiatives
- Demonstrate considerable judgment in compiling facts and making decisions
- Complete data and fact checking based on annotated source materials
- Synthesize and summarize published and presented scientific material for appropriate medical affairs, commercial, and patient audiences
- Conduct literature, KOL, and other strategic searches based on supplied search criteria
- Provide thorough review of various medical communication initiatives across multiple therapeutic areas
- Copy edit and review scientific content for grammar, punctuation, style, consistency, and overall flow and clarity in accordance with relevant style (e.g., AMA, journal/congress, client)
- Maintain current knowledge of AMA and client style guidelines
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and processes
- Collaborate with Lockwood teams to address and resolve their evolving needs
